ICT MEAN

ICT consists of all technical means used to handle information and aid communication, including computer and network hardware, communication middleware as well as necessary software. In other words, ICT consists of IT as well as telephony, broadcast media, all types of audio and video processing and transmission and network based control and monitoring functions.[2] The expression was first used in 1997[3] in a report by Dennis Stevenson to the UK government[4] and promoted by the new National Curriculum documents for the UK in 2000.
ICT is often used in the context of "ICT roadmap" to indicate the path that an organization will take with their ICT needs.[5][6]
The term ICT is now also used to refer to the merging (convergence) of audio-visual and telephone networks with computer networks through a single cabling or link system. There are large economic incentives (huge cost savings due to elimination of the telephone network) to merge the audio-visual, building management and telephone network with the computer network system using a single unified system of cabling, signal distribution and management. See VOIP and Intelligent Infrastructure Management (IIM). This in turn has spurred the growth of organizations with the term ICT in their names to indicate their specialization in the process of merging the different network systems.

ESSAY: ICT IN LIFE`S STUDENTS

Globalization has affected technology and communication. On these days, (Information and communication technology ICT has become in one of the most used mean of communication by the university students. However tech way brings some disadvantages and advantages of ICT in university students.
First of all the disadvantages that we considered more relevant in this subject is the addiction, people lose contact with the other one and lack of control access. In the first case, the students spend long time submerged in the cyber world. Sometimes they lose the notion of they make and they say, they leave the study responsibilities to aside harming themselves in his profession and above all they can become ill a remit of spend much time without resting. Another disadvantage is the contact lost with the other one. Lose of the communication against in front with another one. On a daily basis we see that there are young people who can be with their friends altogether in silence; when we approach we observe that they are speaking through their phones without making a verbal contact, or a true communication. Today´s communication new paradigm where the presence of the other loses value. Finally, the lack of control in the access has caused that information can’t be easy to discriminate between useful and valuable thing of the irrelevant thing. This way, it is demonstrated that the ICT has a negative influence a life of the students.
On the other hand, the advantages that we find are the fast communication, the easy access to information and saving time. The first it’s a practical tool, it allows, if you need to say something important to an other, you can access to a ICT like messenger, Facebook, text message or Twitter and in seconds your information will be attended. Second one enables that you can find enough information to know about a topic, this is very important especially when you are doing research. And the third one of the best advantages, because you can pay your pending bills, also you can buy things that you need and can consult your bank accounts. Thus, we found that advantages can be so usefull and it fits into the new life style.
ICTs are useful tools and easy access for those who are part of a global community has advantages and disadvantages, but everyone will use that best suits their needs and fit their shape and style life. It is also important to know that the communication in our century has become a decisive factor for the progress of large sectors of our society. These grants, in addition to providing suitable ways to develop all kinds of daily activities change, evolution and a highly competitive vision for the future of our society.
